LIght of the World
2009-12-08
Thank you to all who prayed and attended Light of the World at the Usher Hall on Saturday 5th December. The event went well, there was a great challenge to consider Jesus at this time of holiday and relaxation. The choirs, band and orchestra did a great job, and the participation of city ministers was much appreciated.
Thanksgiving Service for Dr Peckham
2009-11-17
A big thank you to all who attended the service yesterday at Charlotte Chapel, all who sent cards, and those who phoned.
We appreciate the support of all who have been in touch. Please continue in prayer particularly for Colin's mum, Mary at this time as she is still recovering from some illness a few months ago.
Ouch
2009-08-13
Just popped the microbus that we use for ministry business in for a checkup and it needed a new clutch, fuel pump and water pump. Ouch! The Praise part of this is that it didn't break down somewhere inaccessible!
A fortunate accident
2009-02-19
We wavered about putting our minibus in for its annual service because of the cost but decided it was best to go ahead. While replacing a shock absorber that was worn, the garage noticed a huge crack across the chassis, and called to say that it was unsafe to drive. The resulting repair has been very expensive, but Colin was due to take a friend over the Swartberg Pass (a dangerous pass through the Swartberg Mountains) next month, so all in all, we're grateful to God that they spotted it!
New Album
2009-02-19
Colin has just returned from several weeks spent working on recording the new album for Origin. So far progress has been excellent, though please pray that they don't lose momentum as the intensive period passes...
Events
2008-12-09
It's exactly one year since we stepped on board the plane and left the UK, and today we give thanks to God for a series of excellent events in the UK, and one in South Africa. A successful recording for BBC Songs of Praise, City Praise in Aberdeen, Luv Esther in Edinburgh, participation again in the Carol Service on the Mound run by Edinburgh City Council and our own Origin Carol Service last Saturday. God has been good!

Cape Town Gospel Choir launch annouced
2010-01-30
We're really excited about the launch of the new Cape Town Gospel Choir by Origin South Africa. Auditions will be held accross Cape Town in April. Please pray for us in this exciting new area of ministry.
Colin's dad
2009-11-09
We're sad to announce the passing of Rev Dr Colin Peckham, Colin's dad, today at his home in Broxburn. It was sudden and unexpected, and we'd appreciate prayer for Colin's mum, Mary especially. Colin's sisters are on their way from the USA and we're heading out from Cape Town immediately.
St James Kenilworth
2009-08-13
Colin will be taking on some new ministry commitments at St James Church Kenilworth from December this year. He will head up the music and media team, and we would appreciate your prayers as we prepare for that.
Changes...
2009-05-06
We'd appreciate your prayers as we consider and experience a number of changes at the moment. Prayer for direction and guidance very welcome! Watch this space...
In the busy-ness...
2009-02-19
Please continue to pray for us as the workload continues to increase. Norma is still working on the database (well over 1,000 churches now spoken to), and Colin's focus shifts to the new Origin websites, due for launch in April this year.
Much to do...
2008-12-09
We'd appreciate prayer as we prepare for a very busy period. Norma is still calling churches (she has spoken to almost 1,000 churches individually in the last 12 months), Colin is working on orchestrations for the new Origin album due for recording studio in January, the new Origin websites and event preparation. There are simply not enough hours in the day. Please pray for us!
