RESURRECTION 2011

Praise God for an AWESOME event at the Usher Hall on Easter Sunday. God was very good to us and everything went so well. We know of many people blessed and challenged, and of at least one who committed their life to Christ.

Flood damage

Praise the Lord that the plumber's insurance company (eventually) paid up fot the flood damage to our house that we discovered on return from holiday. Turns out a defective pump was installed in the roof and it gave way at some point while we were away. All fixed now...

Accident
2010-11-08
Thank God for safety for Norma and Andrew who were involved in an accident when a container lorry tried to turn into the lane of traffic they were in. Fortunately it was a low-speed collision, and they were shaken but unhurt. Can't say the same for our brand new little car though, sadly!

Thanksgiving service for Mary Peckham

Thank you to all who attended the service for Colin's mom. She really was a most remarkable woman and a true warrior of God.

Andrew Edward David Peckham

We give thanks to God today for the safe arrival of Andrew, 3.3kg and in excellent health. Mother and baby doing great.

LIght of the World

Thank you to all who prayed and attended Light of the World at the Usher Hall on Saturday 5th December. The event went well, there was a great challenge to consider Jesus at this time of holiday and relaxation. The choirs, band and orchestra did a great job, and the participation of city ministers was much appreciated.

Colin's mom's house

Please pray that the sale of Colin's mom's house goes well. The first buyer had to drop out due to lack of funds and the house is back on the market. In these depressed market conditions it's tough selling, so please pray for quick interest and sale.

Depending on which hemisphere you're in, please pray for our Spring/Autumn events. Details are on the events page, or see www.originscotland.org or www.originsa.org for details. Please especially pray for funding for the Origin ministries in SA and the UK, as they're very short of funds for forward event planning at the moment.

3rd Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation

Please pray for Colin in his involvement in the conference. He has been a worship adviser to the congress and is involved in directing the music and leading the worship at the Saturday night plenary session and part of the closing ceremony in Cape Town.

Death of Colin's mom

We are sad to announce the passing of Mary Peckham, Colin's mom this week after a stroke and a week in a coma. With Norma only just out of hospital and the new baby, Colin's aunt is coming to stay with them so he can travel to the UK for the funeral.

Please pray for Colin's mom, who had a stroke today. Initial reports are that it is serious.

Colin will be giving a lecture tomorrow at George Whitefield College in Cape Town on music in the church
